There are so many recipes for this soup as every region of Italy seems to have their own version. Basically, the recipe is nearly always the same, with just a few variations such as the addition of tomato paste, herbs, pancetta, chile or sometimes a different kind of bean. Pasta does not feature traditionally in Venetian cuisine, so this is something of an exception to the rule.
