A Cantonese family dish for all three generations, grandparents, parents and children who, very often, still live under one roof in China. Since it is cholesterol-free, nutritious and easily digestible it couldn’t be a safer or more healthy dish to serve to both the old and the young. Dace is usually used by the Cantonese, but as it is not easily available abroad, cod is used as a satisfactory substitute. If you wish to add finely chopped ham or dried shrimp in the mixture, feel free.
