- Heat the oil and fry the onions until golden brown, 5–10 minutes.
- Stir in the remaining ingredients except for the shrimp and coriander leaves and continue cooking over low heat until the oil separates.
- Add the shrimp and stir to mix well. Cover and leave to simmer until the shrimp are cooked through, about 10 minutes.
- Garnish with the chopp
