  • 6 oz. digestive biscuits
  • 3 oz. melted butter
  • 3 oz

Method

Crush the digestive biscuits finely, add melted butter, brown sugar and cocoa. Combine well then press firmly into a loose-bottomed 7 in. cake-tin.

Peel, core and slice the apples, put in a saucepan with ½ pint water and granulated sugar. Cook gently until apples are very soft and pulpy. Beat well. Soak gelatine in the 4 tablespoons water, then add softened gelatine and a little green c
