This quick and easy-to-make relish of pickled onion and toasted coriander seeds has an earthy, aromatic flavor that goes well with and meat dish—fish, chicken, or lamb. Traditionally, cucumbers are not included, but I find they really add something to the pickle providing a very refreshing condiment on the table. The Azaris also add ¼cup/35g barberries, 1 teaspoon dried mint, and 1 teaspoon sumac powder.
