This dish was officially named Denmark’s national dish in 2014. It is an incredible dish in so many ways – it’s no wonder that it’s hard to stop eating it once you start. We didn’t consume it too often growing up because it is so very filling and rich, and we would always overeat when it was made.
There was a special restaurant called Fabrikken where I used to enjoy this as a teenager. Now it is a dish that I crave maybe twice a year, and if I go to a restaurant that serves it, I or
