I always use my most beloved possession, a beautiful cooking pot given to me by my grandmother, when I make this particular dish. Each time we came to visit my grandmother from England, all through my childhood, she would make this for us on our first evening in Denmark. It is an extraordinary flavour of my childhood memories of time spent with her.
