Granny’s Amazing Baked Apples with Marzipan and Raisins

My grandmother has the most adorable garden, set in the most adorable bay, on my family’s estate. Fond memories of my time there include sitting amongst her raspberry bushes eating huge, juicy berries; collecting cucumbers and tomatoes before lunch; or climbing her wonderful apple tree or pear tree. The apples always seemed never-ending, and many feasts were created using these delicious fruits. These baked apples have always been an absolute favourite of mine.
