This dish is great fun to make and looks really dramatic. It doesn’t usually manage to reach the table, the children and I like to eat big chunks with our fingers.

On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to a 30 cm circle, transfer to a floured baking sheet, then fold over the edges and press with your fingers to make a rustic-looking crimped edge, about 3 mm
