Method

Preparing the apples

  1. Peel the apples with a vegetable-peeler, cut them in half and cut out pips and the horny parts around the core. Then cut each half into little crescents 1½ cm (½ inch) thick.
  2. Put them in a bowl and sprinkle with lemon juice (to prevent them from discolouring), mixing them round with your hands.
