Vlassky Salad Snacks

This salad is a traditional recipe used in both Republics. The word vlašský means ‘walnut’, which this salad doesn’t contain, and to add to the confusion it is also sometimes called Italian salad or Welsh salad. The salad can be eaten on its own as a lunchtime snack, accompanied with a rohlíky or rožky and pivo (beer). As shown here, it is also a popular ingredient for chlebíčky – party finger food made with bread. These ‘little breads’ are made for special occasions, when guests vis
