Paprikáš is a Hungarian-influenced dish, eaten in Hungary since the early 19th century but adopted wholeheartedly in the Slovak Republic, also appearing occasionally in the Czech Republic.

Ingredients

  • 4 skinless chicken breast fillets, or thighs
  • 1 tomato
  • 25 g

Method

  1. Season the chicken pieces with salt. Plunge the tomato into boiling water for 30 seconds, then refresh in cold water. Peel away the skin, remove the seeds and dice the flesh. Set aside.
  2. Heat the butter in a frying pan and fry the bacon and onion until brown. Take the pan off the heat and add the paprika.
