The classic steamed pork bun is given a herbal twist with the addition of fok leng (poria cocos). This herb is good for the heart, spleen and lungs. It improves digestion and calms the mind.

Fok leng (poria cocos) 40 g

Method

  • Grind 20 g fok leng into a fine powder. You can ask the herbalist to grind it for you.
  • Boil remaining fok leng with water. Discard fok leng and reserve liquid for dough.
  • Combine pork, Chinese celery and spring onions with ground fok
