Ptysie are cream puffs made from choux pastry and usually filled with whipped cream, though occasionally with meringue. Choux is French for cabbage, a vegetable that bears a not dissimilar appearance to a choux puff. Adorably, the French term of endearment, petit choux, means little cabbage.
