  • About

This chocolate glaze is softened just enough with butter or coconut oil to be poured or brushed onto gingerbread loaves, hamantaschen, cookies, or whatever you feel needs a little extra chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 7 oz [200 g] semisweet chocolate, finely chopped, or chocolate chips
  • 1 Tbsp

Method

Melt the chocolate and butter in a double boiler or in short bursts in the microwave and stir together until smooth. Allow to cool for 5 to 10 minutes, then pour over cakes or dip in cookies. Chill the glazed dessert in the fridge until the glaze is set.

If making ahead, store the glaze in the refrigerator for about a week and warm to liquid over a double boiler before using.
