These donuts are reminiscent of the famed English dessert, sticky toffee pudding. The shiny toffee glaze that covers these donuts makes them a standout in any assortment, as do the sweet and chewy bits of dried dates in the dough. The decadent sauce will thicken as it cooks and thicken even more as it cools.
In a bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. In a large bowl, using an electric mixer set on low speed (use the paddle attachment for a stand mixer), beat the eggs and brown sugar until creamy.
