  • 2 lb. boneless beef brisket
  • Water to cover
  • 1 medium onion (peeled)
  • 1

Method

Place brisket in large pot and cover with water. Add onions, carrots, celery, red pepper, and salt. Bring to a boil. Lower heat. Let boil for 1 hour until beef is tender. Remove from pot, reserving vegetables and liquid for sauce. Set brisket aside and cover. Prepare Mustard Sauce below, and serve sauce with the boiled beef.
