Mix ½ teaspoon of the salt and ½ teaspoon of the pepper in flour. Mix well. Dredge livers in seasoned flour. Heat butter in skillet. Brown livers in butter, turning to brown completely. Add oyster liquid; stir livers. Add sliced onions and loosen into rings. Add remaining salt and pepper. Cover. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes. Onions should be just tender.
