The Pastry Saint of England

We had this mash-up of steak, red wine, onions and golden pastry after deciding to celebrate St George’s Day with the same passion we give St Patrick, and we put a Cross of Saint George on the pie’s pastry lid. However, it just looked like a massive ‘X’ and, when I hit the top of it like a Britain’s Got Talent buzzer, my housemates lost it with me. For what it’s worth, I would have put the pie through to the next round.
