Squid tagine in Port Said works as both a mezze and a main course. There are many versions of this dish across Egypt’s Mediterranean coast, and most use a tomato base for the tagine. The Port Said version is elegant with only a few light and summery ingredients: fresh dill, olive oil and lemon.
In a medium bowl combine the squid strips, dill, olive oil and the juice of 1 lemon. Season with salt and pepper.
