Sweet Vermicelli Milk Pudding

At the Nubian wedding we attended, the air was thick with the scent of spices from rows of simmering pots of stew. For days, friends, family and neighbours gathered to cook in communal celebration of love and unity. As the late night turned into morning, the final dish was served - a sweet vermicelli milk pudding. Part dessert, part breakfast, this simple, sweet dish marked the end of the festivities. Our version includes a touch of cornflour (cornstarch) to give the pudding a set texture.<
