It’s hard to mess with a classic, but I don’t play by the rules. Slowly smoking the beef before searing adds an extra layer of flavor and dries out the surfac for more crust development when seared. Smoky, crispy, and loaded with texture, this sandwich has it all. Plus, there’s still plenty of melty cheese and a few fresh toppings to brighten it up. Throw in some pickle slices and watch the New Yorkers lose their minds.
