Packaged ramen soup is one of my guilty pleasures (another is binge-watching Scandal). I eat it about once a year, and it brings back memories of cramming for finals at Boston University, but then I feel yucky from all the sodium. For this recipe, I wanted to create a healthy, home-style version of ramen soup in a nutrient-rich broth brimming with the flavors of onion, garlic and black pepper.
