  • 25 g/1 oz/2 tbsp butter, softened, plus extra for greasing

Method

  1. Butter the brioche slices on one side and cut in half diagonally. Arrange half of the slices in the base of the prepared dish. Scatter over the figs and chocolate, then top with the remaining brioche slices.
  2. Beat all the remaining ingredients together in a bowl using a hand whisk, then pour the resulting batter through a sieve over the top of the brioche slices
