  1. Place the milk and cream in a large saucepan over a low heat and bring to the boil.
  2. Rinse the rice well under cold water and add to the milk mixture along with the sugar. Return to the boil, stirring well, then reduce to a low simmer for 25–30 minutes, or until the rice is tender, stirring often to prevent it from sticking.
