This isn’t a dessert but an absolutely fabulous drink. It was made for me a little while ago. The flavour and smooth, silky consistency were so good I had to have the recipe! I’ve made a couple of changes and topped it with soft whipped cream. You can either dust with cocoa or scatter over lots of finely grated dark chocolate.


  • 100 g (4 oz) plain chocolate, broken into pieces

Melt the chocolates in a bowl over a pan of simmering water. While melting, bring the milk to the boil. Add the 6 tablespoons of double cream to the chocolate and take it off the heat. Mix the hot milk and melted chocolate cream together, adding the Camp coffee, if using. Pour into the mugs and spoo
