I am sure we all do the same thing – find a recipe and then play with it, making adjustments to improve (we hope!) the results. Well, here’s an example of this. I love the rich flavour of black treacle but I did find the original recipe a little too dry. This loaf has a texture very similar to malt loaf, with a moist finish. With these changes, the result is rich and moreish!
