The rich, red colour from blood oranges makes this syrup even more exciting but if blood oranges are unavailable, just use another variety.


  • 600 ml (1 pint) blood-orange juice
  • 225 g (8


Bring all the ingredients to the boil and reduce to 300 ml (10 fl oz.. Strain through a sieve and the syrup is ready.
