Madeira was traditionally always served with Madeira cake. This syrup can be served warm over Mini Madeira Prune Cakes, and it will keep the cake, taste and tradition very much alive.


  • ½ bottle Madeira
  • 175 g (6 oz) sugar
  • <


Simply boil all the ingredients together and simmer to a thick, syrupy consistency.
