This coffee syrup can be made with fresh or instant coffee. The fresh coffee will obviously give you a fuller taste, but the instant a quicker result. All you’ll need is coffee and sugar.


  • 300 ml (10 fl oz) strong fresh or instant coffee
  • 150 g (5


Boil the coffee and sugar together and reduce by half. You now have a rich coffee syrup that is best served at room temperature or cold.
