This is a very quick and easy chutney recipe. It eats well with pâtés, terrines and cold meats.


  • 6 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and cut into eighths
  • 2 limes, peeled and segmented
  • ½ onion, finely chopped


Place all the ingredients in a saucepan, bring to the simmer, cover and cook to a thick pickle consistency, about 30 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and the pickle is ready. Place in warm, sterilized jars and seal.
