Ingredients

  • 500 ml water
  • 500 g castor sugar

Method

Combine the water and sugar in a saucepan and and stir over moderate heat to boiling point. Simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from the heat and allow to cool completely. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a month.
