This ice cream took its lead from a commercial ice cream on a stick, and this very grown-up version made its debut at Paramount Restaurant in late 1998 as a slice sandwiched between two chocolate florentine wafers, offered as a dessert during Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
