  • About

Freekeh is a very traditional Middle Eastern grain of the wheat family that looks similar to farro. The grains are “burnt” or toasted for a subtly smoky flavor that is very appealing. Once relatively unusual outside of Middle Eastern groceries, freekeh has become much more mainstream in the last few years. Toasty and nutty yet not too heavy, it is perfect for anyone looking for ways to incorporate more whole grains into their diet.
