Porridge or oatmeal as it’s often called, is one of the most nutritious breakfasts we could start the day with and it’s so simple to make. Generally speaking it’s 1 part oats cooked with 3 parts liquid, whether using water or milk (dairy or alternative) or a combination of the two. Bring to a fast simmer and cook for a few minutes until thick and creamy. Serving it sprinkled with sugar, honey or syrup is a popular choice, but why not be a bit more creative and try some of these toppings. <
