There is something very special about the combination of salty bacon and sweet maple syrup. They are often paired together with pancakes for breakfast, but here I've introduced them to light fluffy savoury scones.
Cut the dough into neat rounds with a pastry cutter or keep them more rustic and serve in wedges. Either way – serve warm, split in half and slathered with the salty maple butter.
