The idea for these colourful patties came from a recipe my children made in their cooking class at school although rather than making them using a standard wheat flour pastry like they did, I have made the these with gram (chickpea) flour. Not only does it have a great flavour that is ideal for savoury recipes, it's also naturally gluten-free. These little golden pockets are packed with veggies and ideal to make for lunch, picnics or for after school snacks.
