This one is a straightforward rye bread that has an earthy, nutty flavour from the rye flour and a rich sweetness from the treacle, although for variety you can try other flavours suggested in the Flexible section.
Rye flour is lower in gluten than wheat flour, making the end result fairly dense, so it is best served in thin slices.
