  • 100 g (4 oz) plain flour

Method

Sift the flour into a large bowl and add the salt. Pour in the lager slowly, stirring constantly to make a smooth, thin batter. Finally, whisk in the egg whites. The batter should be quite thin – about the consistency of single cream.
