This dish is based on a Thai recipe and will make a spicy, light lunch for three to four people.
Put the piece of beef into a shallow dish (not aluminium). Whizz together the soy sauce, sesame oil, ground coriander, black pepper and sugar in a food processor or blender. Tip it out and smear it all over the steak. Leave to marinate for at least 1 hour.
