Method

Line a shallow sided 8" tart tin with sweet pastry (or use any kind of pastry if you are pushed).

Peel lots of apples and slice them into thin (and that means thin) crescent shapes and fill the pastry to the top. Sprinkle with sugar and bake at 200°C/400°F/gas 6 fo
