Roasted peppers from a jar should be rinsed well and patted dry to remove the vinegary taste. When peppers are in season, it’s cheaper to roast your own.

Ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 green onions, cut in chunks
  • 2 Tbsp fr

Method

Steel Blade: Drop garlic and green onions through feed tube while machine is running; process until minced. Add basil, red pepper and tofu or cream cheese. Process until very smooth, about 45 seconds, scraping down sides of bowl as needed. Add remaining ingredients and process briefly to blend. Chill well before serving.
