When basil is expensive, use a combination of basil and fresh spinach leaves. Pesto is perfect with pasta, fish or in salad dressings, soups and casseroles.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh basil, tightly packed

Method

steel blade: Drop garlic through feed tube while machine is running; process until minced. Add basil, parsley, nuts, salt and pepper. Process until finely minced, about 20 seconds. Drizzle oil through feed tube while machine is running and process until blended. Blend in Parmesan cheese.
