  • About

The fumes from fresh horseradish are very intense, so be careful. Serve with Gefilte Fish, boiled short ribs or roast beef.

Ingredients

  • ½ lb (250 g) fresh horseradish root, peeled and cut in chunks
  • 1 can (14

Method

steel blade: Process horseradish until finely minced, about 30 seconds. Add beets through feed tube and process until fine. (Don’t remove processor cover just yet; the fumes will be very strong.) Add remaining ingredients and process until well blended, about 30 seconds.

Store in refrigerator in tightly closed jars. This will keep for months, but will lose strength gradually.
