Ingredients

  • 1 lb (500 g) fresh green beans
  • 2 Tbsp butter or margar

Method

Slicer: Wash and trim beans to fit width of feed tube. Stack horizontally in feed tube to within 1 inch of top. Slice, using medium pressure. Repeat with remaining beans in as many batches as necessary.

Place in saucepan with boiling salted water to cover. Cover and cook on medium heat for 6 to 8 minutes, until tender but still slightly crunchy. Drain well. Combine with remaining
