Name: Challah (Double Recipe for Large Processors)
Yield: Yield: 2 loaves (12 to 16 slices per loaf).
Ingredients: sesame or poppy seeds; sesame or poppy seeds; 1 egg yolk beaten with 2 tsp water; 1 egg yolk beaten with 2 tsp water; cornmeal for the baking pan; 2 tsp salt; ½ cup sugar; 5 cups flour (approximately) (part whole wheat can be used); 5 cups flour (approximately) (part whole wheat can be used); ¾ to 1 cup water (room temperature); 2 eggs, lightly beaten; ½ cup canola oil; 2 pkgs active dry yeast (2 Tbsp); 1 tsp sugar; ½ cup warm water (105°F to 115°F)

A food processor with a 14-cup capacity, dough cycle and dough blade can mix 2 loaves at a time, using up to 6 cups of flour. If desired, replace half the flour with whole wheat flour. You can still make this recipe without a dough cycle. The liquid ingredients are combined with the dissolved yeast mixture and are added to the dry ingredients in one easy step!
