You can replace half the flour with whole wheat flour for scrumptious, healthy bread.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup milk (1%) or water
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ c

Method

Heat milk or water for 1 minute on High in the microwave. Let cool for 5 minutes, until lukewarm. Meanwhile, dissolve 1 tsp sugar in ½ cup warm water. Sprinkle yeast over and let stand for 8 to 10 minutes, until foamy. Stir to dissolve.

Steel Blade or Dough Blade: (Use dough cycle if your machine has one.) Process flour, 4 tsp sugar, salt and margarine or oil for 6 to 8 seconds.
