Oats add fiber to these crusty-topped muffins, making them a guilt-free chocolate-studded treat.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • ½ cup quick-cooking oats
  • 1 cup<

Method

In a small bowl, mix applesauce with oats. Set aside.

Steel Blade: Process sugar, margarine, egg and vanilla extract until well mixed, about 2 minutes, scraping down sides of bowl as needed. Add applesauce/oat mixture and process just until blended. Add flour, cocoa, baking powder and baking soda. Process with 3 or 4 quick on/off pulses, just until combined. Do not overprocess. S
