A torte is a rich, multilayered dessert that is absolutely delicious but very high in calories. A sliver goes a long way!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, cut in chunks
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs

Method

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Steel Blade: Process butter, sugar and eggs until well blended, about 1 minute. Add flour and baking powder. Process just until mixed, using on/off pulses. Do not overprocess.
