  • 2 cups pitted dates
  • ¼ cup walnuts
  • ½ cup

Method

If dates are packaged in a solid block, they need to be rehydrated. Cut them into chunks, cover with boiling water and soak for 20 minutes, until softened. Drain well.

Steel Blade: Chop walnuts coarsely, about 5 seconds. Empty bowl. Process dates with raisins, lemon rind (if using) and cinnamon until minced, 15 to 20 seconds. Add nuts with 1 or 2 quick on/off pulses.
